This trek is in some ways a walk in the park through lush deep forest and past three glacial lakes in the San juan Islands. The trail is located in Moran State Park on Orcas Island and it is a pleasant year round trek. You will be provided during your hiking pleasure, vistas of some of the wildest dense forested areas of the San Juan Islands. With easy to minimal elevation gains and well marked trails, your hiking adventure will be good family fun. Have a picnic in the deep forest of Mount Pickett or along the shore lines of Twin or Mountain Lakes. Be sure to bring a camera for those sunny days.
