HLCCA Banquet Items

These items were HLCCA exclusives produced in limited quantities for the banquet at the annual Conference (except where noted). Those noted as "donated" were donated by HLC. Most were given to all attendees; those made in smaller quantities (e.g., 36 or 40) were table centerpieces that were raffled. Leftovers were frequently auctioned at that and subsequent HLCCA conferences. HLCCA sold Round Candleholders and Regular Shakers matching the 2003 baseball decal later in 2003. HLCCA sold Disk Pitchers and Tumblers matching the 2009 red stripe decal later in 2009; Small Vases were sold in 2010; 8 ½" Bowls, Cereal Bowls (straight), 9" Plates, 300 6" Footed Bowls and 300 Individual Pasta Bowls were sold in 2011. HLCCA sold White and Scarlet Mugs (with Scarlet and White polka dots) later in 2010. The Factory Outlet sold Lapis Mugs and Salad Plates with white polka dots in 2011.

What is the Post-1986 Dishography?

The Post-1986 Dishography is an exhaustive list of all Fiesta® dinnerware produced since it was reintroduced in 1986. As a collector, I was frustrated with the lack of any reference material that described what was "out there". As more and more shapes and glazes (i.e., colors) were introduced and retired, it became increasingly difficult to keep track of exactly what was produced. Add to that the various limited editions, numbered pieces, and "unofficial" pieces, and it becomes a nightmare. Not even the Homer Laughlin China Company (the makers of Fiesta® dinnerware) had such a list. So I created this one. (I now also have a Vintage Fiesta® Dishography.)

The Dishography continues to evolve. New shapes and colors are added. And occasionally something old comes to light, or details are clarified. My goal is to update it yearly (more or less).

Scope & Ground Rules

Saving & Printing

The Dishography is actually several files, so if you save it to your computer as an HTML file, it will not look the same when you open the saved file. Different browsers use different terms, but saving it as a "web archive" should work.

If you have problems printing the Dishography in color, it is probably because your browser is set to not print background colors. (For many web pages this is a good thing, since you usually don't need or want to print background images or shading.) In Internet Explorer 6.0, go to "Tools / Internet Options...", select the "Advanced" tab, scroll to the "Printing" section, and make sure "Print background colors and images" is checked. In Mozilla, go to "File / Page Setup..." and check "Print Background (colors & images)". Other browsers will have a similar option somewhere in their setup. Keep in mind that you may want to undo this change when you are done printing.

If you want to use the Dishography as a checklist, consider using the "printable checklist" option at the bottom of the main page. This transforms the table such that all existing pieces are shaded a uniform gray, making it easier to see any handwritten notes (such as check marks) or highlighting.

Some people copy the table to Excel to transform it for their own needs. This can be done by selecting the contents of the table, copying it, then opening Excel and pasting it. Because Excel has a limited color palette, the colors will probably look different. For some people only the text is copied, not the background colors; the cause of this is not clear, but it may be related to which browser is used.
