HandyList is a control strip module used to display and edit a simple text list of items. Use it to store frequently used contact names, URLs, phone numbers, email addresses, notes, to-do items or any other text information. To access the list, simply click on the control strip module. A menu pops up that shows the items in a sorted list. New items can be added, and existing items can be edited or removed from the popup menu itself. The HandyList control strip module uses the HandyList application to let you add and edit items, and to remove them. Each item can be up to 255 characters long. Up to 100 items can be added in the list.

A set of 18 control strips, all of which are documented in Japanese, most of their functionality does not depend on language though. I particularly like the MoonLife Strip which shows the current phase of the moon in your control strip and the OpenTray Strip which will open your CD-ROM Player's tray. The other strips include Dates Strip (a simple calendar), WorldClock Strip (similar to the World Clock CSM's below and in English), RAM Watch Strip (gives you the percentage of your RAM usage), Empty Trash Strip (click to empty the trash), Audio CD Strip (a rather nice alternative to Apple's CDStrip), Internet Profile Strip (for selecting appropriate Internet Profiles), Open Sesami Strip (puts a folder of the same name in your system folder to put aliases in which you can then launch from the Control Strip), PPP Modem Strip (access the PPP and Modem Control Panel controls). The Three Favorite Modules (Favorite/WWW Strip, Favorite/Mail Strip, and Favorite/FTP Strip) will list the appropriate favorite files that are in your Favorites folder.
