Background -
In 1999 I decided to travel with my morris team to the Sidmouth Folk Festival in Devon, England, a decision made easy when I learned that there would be a total solar eclipsesomething I'd always wanted to seevisible nearby only four days after the festival. But the weather didn't cooperate (you can read that sad story here). Two years later, bitter & disillusioned, I suddenly remembered that the next eclipse was due in June '01 & signed up for an eclipse-and-safari tour I found on the internet; "Along the Zambezi" organized by Civilized Adventures of Calgary, AB. This Shockwave travelogue is the result.

"I have to award the best 2001 eclipse website award to Rob Falk. Everyone must check out this amazing website ... and you will be blown away by this beautiful summary. It is definitely worth a look! Great work Rob!" — Don Hladiuk, Royal Astronomical Society of Canada
