THE RICHEY CLOVIS CACHE

BY RICHARD MICHAEL GRAMLY

The Richey Clovis Cache at East Wenatchee, Central Washington state, is one of the most significant discoveries of Early American Clovis culture artifacts known to science. This rare assemblage of flaked stone and bone artifacts unearthed in 1987-90 is now curated by the Washington State Historical Society in Tacoma.

We are proud to offer this latest release from Dr. Gramly, published by Persimmon Press. This book documents all of the artifacts found at the famous Clovis site, including all of the flaked stone and bone tools. While it is not a site report, it seeks to inventory the items. Included are aerial photos, and an especially significant fold out map pinpointing the locations of each artifact and an accurate, detailed drawing of every artifact.

The illustrations, which are two and three view sets done with pen and ink, are perhaps the finest ever produced of such artifacts. Each copy purchased through Mound Builder Books will be autographed by the main artist, Valerie Waldorf!

The book has 75 pages with full color cover. Glossy paper, perfect binding with side wire for strength. Size 7 by 10 inches. First printing was only 2000 copies. This book is already a hot collector's item, so you had better get one fast!
