  • Business Domain Hosting
    Business Domain Hosting includes hosting of your business website, FTP site, and e-mail. Unlike virtual domains, it is a complete package. There are data export fees associated with this service. Please see the website for details.

    As with virtual domains, virtual domain clones can be used to point additional domains at a domain hosted with the business domain plan. The fee for these is $2/month/per domain in addition to the Business Domain Hosting base fee.

  • Personal Domain Hosting
    Personal domain hosting is a full domain hosting package intended for not-for-profit domains. If your domain is for profit, it should be either hosted as a virtual domain mapped to a shell, 56k, ISDN, or DSL account; or it should be a Business domain hosting package. Unlike virtual domains, there are data export fees associated with domain hosting accounts if traffic exceeds a specific monthly volume. Please see the website for details.

    Your domain will also have to be hosted with a registrar and pointed to our name servers, ns1.eskimo.com 204.122.16.8 and ns2.eskimo.com 204.122.16.9. I recommend gandi.net.

    As with virtual domains, a virtual domain clone can be pointed at a domain hosted under a personal domain hosting package. The charge for virtual domain clones is $2/month additional.

  • Virtual Domains and Virtual Clones
    A virtual domain maps your chosen domain name to your shell account. This mapping exists for web, ftp, and e-mail. It is possible to map multiple domains to subdirectories. A virtual domain differs from a Business or Personal Web Hosting account in that it is an add-on to a shell account not a complete package and there are no data export fees associated with a virtual domain. The virtual domain uses your shell account for storage space and does not include it's own disk quota.

    You will also need to register your domain with a domain registrar and point it to our name servers which are ns1.eskimo.com 204.122.16.8 and ns2.eskimo.com 204.122.16.9. Personally, I am happy with Gandi.net for domain registration.

    A virtual domain clone points an additional domain or domains to an existing domain. The charge for virtual domain clones is $2/month in addition to the base fee for the virtual domain.
