Peer to peer technology is a file transfer and file sharing technology that works by forming a network between end users computers, rather than relying on a central server for distribution. The capacity of such a network automatically scales with the number of users since it uses the end users resources.

    Shareaza is a multi-network peer-to-peer client program. It supports the original Gnutilla network, Gnutilla2, Edonkey, and Bit Torrent. A French company took-over the old Shareaza website and created a spyware Shareaza look-alike. It is not the real Shareaza and should bot be installed. The new Shareaza website is at http://shareaza.sourceforge.net/.
