A month or so ago, my chronic pissed-off condition at MS Works became terminal and I went and got Open-Office. I think it is a great set of software. Unfortunately, though, my rudimentary requirements would require the same level of learning as setting up an entire office, and I no longer have the time or the cognitive ability. I now want to back away and get my quarter gig back.
There is no uninstall program that I can see and I am reluctant to use my software uninstall in Windows 2000 for fear it will leave too many fragments and such.
I hope this is the correct place to post this and will be grateful for some advice.
Thank you,
Having not loaded open office I can't know where all it might leave fragments, but generally with XP when I want to get rid of something that there is no uninstall for I'll do that (use the software add/delete) to remove it then use a registry cleaner to get rid of the bogus registry entries, and go and look for folders that may have been deleted in most of the normal windows places. Aside from that I don't know what you really can do if no uninstall is proved.
