I have been experiencing slow and unreliable operation on MySpace, CherryTap, DeviantArt, and a few other complex websites. I had blamed it on the sites themselves.

However, while troubleshooting another application, I discovered a limitation in Windows XP SP2 that caused all of these problems, and I found a fix for it. Additionally, I found some tweaks that improve Firefox performance considerably.
