There are two aspects to the Internet, Access and Hosting.

Access is like the physical analogy of transportation, the trails, the roads, the sidewalks, the hallways, the railroad lines, the streams and rivers and oceans used for shipping. Access is how you get around on the net. It takes you from your desk or your laptop or your PDA or cellphone to a distant location.

The destination, the location, that's the hosting end. It's your Internet home where you get your e-mail and website. It's where you might keep your photos and music so that you can access it from anywhere. Perhaps keep a calendar and pin notes to it to remind you of things. Perhaps a diary or other records of your life experiences, maybe a blog, either to remember in the future or to share with friends and relatives or maybe to share with the world. The location also might be a place of commerce, a commercial store front or a garage sale.

The big corporate America model of the Internet is one of just another giant marketing tool. They want to own all the content and control your access to that content. In their vision, that content will only encompass their ideas about the world, or what they think the world should be. They want to limit your access to competing content, content that competes with theirs in terms of monetary value and content which competes with theirs in terms of ideas.

That's the big corporate model, it's the opposite of my model. I want the internet to be a transparent connection between people. I want it to connect people across space and time. I want it to be a tool that people can use to help communicate, integrate, and organize their ideas and experiences. I want it to be a tool for soul mates to find each other. I want it to be a tool for people with shared interests to get together and collaborate. I want it to connect people with solutions with people that have problems requiring those solutions.

This may sound bizarre but I believe that at some point in the distant past, people had the ability to communicate with each other transparently. I don't know if it was on Earth, or in some spiritual realm, but I sense that we had that capability. Sometimes, occasionally, I connect with people in a way that goes beyond verbal and facial expressions and body language, a much more direct connection.

I had a friend in high school, he came up from San Diego, and when we had conversations sentences were limited to two or three words because even before one of us started to speak the other already had in their head what they were going to say and started formulating a response, by the time two or three words were out that response would be formulated and the roles would switch. One time, he described a strip mall where he lived, and I had this vision flash in my head, I saw all the stores as they were lined up, I interrupted him and named off the stores, correctly. I had never been there.

My wife, I met her first in a dream, I fell in love in the dream. I awoke, and I was tremendously depressed because I thought she wasn't real, she was just a dream and I would never see her again. My soul mate wherever she is, isn't on this plane, I thought. Then weeks later I was at a skating rink and I was racing. I came screaming around a corner and a girl zagged in front of me and we collided and I crashed. Her older sister came over to see if I was still alive, and it was her, the girl from the dream. We are, after 30 years, still together.

How do these things happen? I don't know, but people in this day and age only rarely have this sort of transparent connection, but I believe there was a time when it was universal, and I believe that in the future, in a remodeled world, it will again be universal. But that time is not now, now we have to mostly rely on physical communication using a primitive method called language, communicating indirectly with symbols which have only approximately agreed upon meanings. It's tough, it's not as transparent as it could be, it's not concise, nuances are very difficult to communicate, but right now it is what we got.

Our own government wants to limit our ability to communicate transparently, they say for our protection, but I believe because it threatens their existence. If we all were totally in touch with each other, if we all could experience what each other experiences, feel what each other feels, I think we wouldn't need a police force or government regulation, we'd have tremendous empathy, love for each other, we'd do the right thing.

The Internet, computer networks, any method of communicating that involves language and symbols (which represent only approximate and incomplete meanings), will never achieve that level of transparency, but I believe given enough time they might be capable of doing the next best thing, and that is to allow us to communicate well enough, transparently enough, that we can eventually achieve that on our own.

Big corporations don't like that idea either because they want a monopoly on ideas, they only want ideas to spread that are profitable for them. Look at what is going on around the world and you'll find wars that happen because people are told lies about each other and don't have any way of communicating the truth to each other.

I got into pirate radio in Jr. High and High school because I didn't like the lock government and big corporate America had on mass communications. Then I started a BBS in part because it afforded a way of allowing people to communicate to each other en masse without government or corporate filtering. Now I seek to do the same with the Internet to the greatest degree possible.

I seek to provide access that lets you go where you want to go and let's you access what you want to access. I seek to provide hosting that is available to the average person, so you can put your ideas and experiences on the net to share them with others. I seek to provide organizational facilities to help match people with common interests and get them together through all the noise and clutter.

I also seek to provide storage facilities to help people communicate and experience through time. One of the reasons we get into some of the problems today is because we're not in touch with our past. Iraq happened after enough time passed for enough people to forget Viet Nam. And if we forget Iraq, something else will happen. We need not only to learn from the past but to have a constant connection with it.

I also seek to provide a communications medium for people who have visions of the future to communicate their thoughts about what the future can and will be. So many things we have today that are technological facts, cell phones for example, they were the Star Trek communicators of yesterday.

There is a physicist I've spoken with by the name of Jack Sarfatti. He had an experience, I believe in 1956, where he received a phone call from a mechanical sounding voice, that claimed to be an artificial intelligence from the future. He theorizes that the universe creates itself by sending information from the future back into the past. I've had a number of life experiences that validate that hypothesis. I've traveled into the future in lucid dreams and brought back information that, when the time came, proved to be accurate. I've also had precognitive dreams that were slices of time from the future.

There are a lot of theories that try to dismiss Deja Vu as some non-real misperception. They range from temporal lobe epilepsy to schizophrenia, to hemispheric desynchronization. I used to have Deja Vu experiences quite frequently. One time I got the opportunity to test the reality of Deja Vu. I was listening to the Art Bell show (back when it was the Art Bell show not coast-to-coast) and it was a live show with callers live, not a repeat of a previously recorded show. At the time, it used to be on KOMO radio not KVI. I had a Deja Vu experience so I started to say out loud what I knew Art Bell, his caller, and then when it cut to the KOMO announcer, what they'd all say about fifteen seconds in advance of them saying it. I said it out loud so I would also hear my own voice in advance of theirs. That proved it wasn't a hemisync thing or any of the other BS explanations given that make it out to be an illusion. So that's an example, a very minor one, but an example of what Jack Sarfatti said about the universe creating itself by sending information from the future back in time.

I also think there is an implicit order to the universe, Karl Pribram had his theory of a holographic brain, but I think it's more than that, I think it's a holographic universe. Synchronicities, things which are related only in terms of meaning to us, often argued to be just a product of the human mind and how it works, the associative connection of neurons, but I am not so sure. For example, last night I had a dream about a dog and a bear. I had a pet bear and dog. Strange dream, honestly I've never had an aspiration of having a pet bear. But then I walk by the television set my wife is using after battling some damned spammers that launched a denial of service attack after I stopped their spamming, and what is on there but the Conan O'Brien show, and they've got a guy in a Bear suit (but not the usual). So I don't know, it's easy to explain how the brain might connect things logically, but it has no control over temporal connections like that, or does it?

I will add that I am also receptive to your wants and needs and I want them to drive the details of our path, and I'll do my best to remain open to your communications and integrate them into Eskimo North's development.

So I want to connect people to the future, the past, each other, and all that is to the best of my ability to do so, as transparently as possible. That's what I want to do with Eskimo North. I hope that I can connect with enough of you who think that's a good idea, that think that enough that you'll help me by sending your friends and relatives and even complete strangers our way for Internet service.

One thing I will add, I like creating, and I think it's human nature to create. I think that is what was really meant when the Bible says we were Created in God's image, I think we are part of that same creative life force, not that we physically look like God, but that we share in the ongoing creation of the universe.

So if any of this makes sense to you, if you think this is a good idea, please tell your friends and neighbors we can provide them broadband access, we can host their web sites, tell your boss, tell your relatives, and help me make this vision a reality.
