I bricked my WRT54G router trying to load a newer version of DD-WRT. So I went to Wally World (Walmart) and bought a Belkin N310. It was supposed to come with no admin password but in fact had one and none of the ones I found on the net worked. The Indian support person (Indian as in India) who barely spoke English could not supply the password, but did talk me into re-loading the firmware and a number of other steps that wasted an hour of my time, ultimately to tell me to return the unit.
Upon returning to Wally World, the nice folks at Walmart informed me they don't refund after 10pm, but due to DOC constraints, I don't have the option of going there before 10PM. Finally I got a manager to agree to a refund and they say it will take 7-10 days to see the money back on my card even though it came out of my account that evening.
I will never buy Belkin networking gear again after this experience.
