One of the things that is different about modern Linux implementations is that there has been a move away from command line based configuration to graphical interfaces. That makes remote administration more of a challenge at times.

The new server is installed at the co-location though I have a lot of work that needs to be done to get it configured. It uses a graphical interface. I would like to be able to fire up a desktop on that machine and display it on my local workstation. I know this is possible because when I used to work for Qwest I did it but that was 13+ years ago and my memory of exactly how I did it is no longer there.

If anyone knows how to do this or has a reference, it would be helpful. I know how to have an individual application display on my local machine, but I want to make an entire desktop display there so it is as if I were physically on the other machine.
