What are those "things" that look like little chunks of dirt floating in the nebula? What gives it such diverse colors? I sure hope they keep the Hubble alive. You can get sharp images with adaptive optics from a ground based telescope but only over a very narrow field of view.

This exploded in the 1600s our time, actually about 10,000 years before that because it's about 10,000 light years away. It is the youngest known supernova remnant.
