Sale Terms

You renew one or more of the above services and at the same time bring a new friend to Eskimo North. Your new friend subscribes for the same services and term for which you are renewing and you BOTH get 50% off. Essentially you're getting a two-for-one deal!

Examples

You've got a 56k dial up subscription. You renew for a year and you bring a friend who is not a current customer and they subscribe for a year at the same time. You both get half off, $90 each instead of $180, or another way of looking at it, $180 will pay for you and your friend for a year. Your friend must be someone who is new to Eskimo North to qualify.

You've got a shell account here and a virtual domain. You renew them for a year and bring a friend who gets a shell and a virtual domain for a year. Instead of $192 each ($96 for the shell and $96 for the virtual domain), you each pay only $96, half-off.

Unlike Services

Q: I have a dial-up account but my friend is interested in a shell account and virtual domain for web hosting. Is there a way we can take advantage of this sale even though we will be using different services?

A: Yes, as long as the services are among those listed above under "Scope of this Sale", and are of equal value, you can still take advantage of this sale and get 50% off.

Example

You renew a quarter-year virtual domain normally $30, and a quarter-year shell also normally $30, for a total of $60, and you bring a friend who is new to Eskimo North and subscribes for a quarter-year dial plan L subscription which is also normally $60. In this case you would each be eligible for half-off and would pay $30 each.

Unequal Amounts

Q: In this case I want to extend my dialup for a year which is $180 and my friend wishes to subscribe to a shell and virtual domain for a year which is a total of $192. The amounts aren't quite equal. Is there a way we can still take advantage of this sale?

A: Yes, but in the case of unequal amounts, the lesser of the two gets half-off and the greater of the two can take that half-off amount of the lesser of the two from the full price of their services.

Example

In the above case, the lesser of the two amounts is your dialup subscription at $180, so you would get half-off and pay $90. Your friends services consisting of one-year shell and one-year virtual domain total $192, and they would be allowed to deduct $90 and pay a total of $102 for those services under the terms of this sale.

How Long Does This Sale Last

How long this sale lasts depends on how will it works. If you folks bring new people here in droves, then this sale will last a long time and in time the regular rates will come down as the subscriber base grows. On the other hand, if the response is nil, I'll call this a failed experiement and end it early. It's up to you!

Miscellaneous Questions and Answers

Q: I just stumbled across your website. I don't know anyone presently with your service. Is there anyway I can take advantage of this sale?

A: Yes, bring a friend. It's totally acceptable if both of you are new to Eskimo North. After all, the whole purpose of this sale is to bring new users, increase the size of our usersbase, bringing our per user costs down and allowing us to do more for you! So two new users works too!

Q: Can I give a gift account to a friend and pay for both my renewal and my friends gift account?

A: Yes, as long as your friend is new to Eskimo North, this is fine.

Q: I have a machine with Windows-XP but my friend has a MacIntosh, can he still use your service?

A: We are a Linux-Friendly standards based ISP and thus we can support any operating system that adheres to established network standards. Apples, Windows, Linux, Unix, heck, we can even provide a text interface you can use with a Commodore-64!
