Welcome Eric Jorgensen
Everybody! Please welcome Eric Jorgensen as a new employee of Eskimo
North! Eric has been with us using Eskimo North since, oh, before time
began, back to the Tandy days (prior to 1991), back when we used to have
roving user meetings or sometimes had them here.
Aaron had previously expressed a desire to move to a day shift and
will be moving from an evening weekday shift to 9am-5pm day shift, Eric
will be taking the 3pm-11pm evening shift.
In addition to someone who has been with us for a long time, Eric
also has quite a background and I am confident will be a very positive
addition to our staff.
The weekend part-time position still isn't definitely filled although
I have some potential candidates.
Additionally, I am looking for some person or organization that can
help me effectively market our services. We now have 56k, dual-channel
56k bonded (112k) and ISDN dial-up in 22 states and one Canadian province,
web hosting, and shell services, and soon we will be able to sell backbone
connectivity from T1 to OC48 speeds, but marketing is not something I am
good at and I believe we are at a point where competent marketing is
really crucial to the survival of Eskimo North, and what's more, if we had
it, I could probably afford to pay a salary that would have kept Jimmie
and John here.
But the main thing I wanted to announce is Eric's joining us,
everybody please welcome Eric!
