Unfortunately the concept of having sites be responsible for properly
configuring their servers was lost on a lot of people.
There is no effective way to stop spam as long as we must accept mail
from improperly secured servers.
It's unfortunate. The level of spam is becoming sufficient that I can't
use mail for what its' legitimate purposes are. But people are unwilling to
hold the insecure sites responsible for the improper configuration of their
servers so I guess we have no alternative but to accept spam.
