I get these reports and in the past haven't passed them on but given the
capacity crunches in a few areas I thought it would be worth doing so this time
around so you folks could see what is in the works.
------------------------------
001-Chicago,IL
Dialup capacity: currently sufficient.
Data capacity: Additional bandwidth was recently added, and capacity
at this POP is currently sufficient.
002-Philadelphia,PA
Dialup capacity: Additional capacity was recently added, and
capacity at this POP is currently sufficient, with additional
circuits on order to keep pace with projected growth.
Data capacity: Additional bandwidth was recently added, and capacity
at this POP is currently sufficient.
005-Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX
Because of the continual delay in adding additional capacity to this
site, we are pursuing the construction of an alternate Dallas POP.
In the meantime, we are pursuing additional circuits for the existing
POP.
006-Oakland, CA
Dialup capacity: reaching capacity during peak hours, additional
circuits on order to keep pace with continued growth.
Data capacity: currently sufficient.
007-Washington D.C.
Dialup capacity: currently sufficient.
Data capacity: because of the continual delay in adding bandwidth to
this site, we are constructing an alternate POP for this city, which
should be brought up by mid-March.
008-Detroit, MI
Dialup capacity: We have continually added circuits to this POP in
an effort to keep ahead of the dramatic growth. While this POP will
possibly continue to experience some busy signals during times of
peak usage, additional circuits are on order, and an additional
Detroit POP is under construction.
Data capacity: currently sufficient.
009-Seattle/Everett, WA
Because of the continual delay in adding additional capacity to this
site, we are pursuing the construction of an alternate Seattle POP.
We have identified a hardware issue that should mean dialup relief at
this pop by 3/7. Additional circuits are on order at this existing
POP even as we develop the alternate location.
010-Phoenix, AZ
Because of the shortage of facilities with our current Phoenix data
and line providers and its resultant delay in adding additional
capacity, we are pursuing the completion of an alternate Phoenix POP
that was contracted some time ago. This too, has had its share of
"stumbling blocks" but it does look to be released by late March
(sooner than either dialup or data capacity can be added to the
existing site). It should be noted that Dialup capacity, while
nearing max usage, is still sufficient for the time being. Everything
possible is being done to push the new site for install and release.
011-Atlanta, GA
Dialup capacity: Additional capacity was recently added (on 3/3),
and capacity at this POP is currently sufficient, with additional
circuits on order to keep pace with projected growth.
Data capacity: currently sufficient.
012-New York, NY
Dialup capacity: currently sufficient.
Data capacity: Additional bandwidth was recently added, and capacity
at this at this POP is currently sufficient.
015-LA1
Dialup capacity: Approaching capacity during peak hours, additional
circuits on order to keep pace with continued growth.
Data capacity: currently sufficient.
018-Sacramento/Stockton, CA
Dialup capacity: Currently sufficient.
Data capacity: A major data upgrade is in the works that should take
place by the end of March. A smaller but much-needed bandwidth
upgrade prior to the major solution will take place by 3/7, which
should lessen the bandwidth crunch in this area.
019- Las Vegas, NV
With the recent release of our Las Vegas 2 POP, this site will be
taken out of service on March 6th, 2000, which we have announced on
two occasions prior to this one by separate message to all customers.

order to keep pace with projected growth.
