Cure your summertime blues with Bid4Vacations.com (fwd)
I've received a lot of spams from address space in the following block:
Verio West (NETBLK-VRIO-DVR-BLK-1) VRIO-DVR-BLK-1 199.239.0.0 - 199.239.63.255
I complained to Verio but the spams continued.
On 7/15/2000, I blocked incoming SMTP connections from 199.239.59.x, the
class C from which they were originating. Now they've moved to 199.239.49.x,
so I've broadened the filter to include the entire address block.
I don't like to have to do this because a filter this broad is bound to
block some legitimate traffic. Since Verio seems either unwilling or unable to
address the issue of abuse on the part of their customers, I have no other
alternative except to permit the spams to continue which is unacceptable.
