Status of MegaPOP DSL Service (fwd)
Dear MegaPOP DSL Customer:
StarNet regrets to inform you that StarNet is no longer able to provide DSL and DSL related services. While your existing StarNet DSL circuits remain active at this time, StarNet cannot guarantee DSL service for any fixed period of time. Accordingly, StarNet recommends that you take the necessary steps to transfer your StarNet DSL services to another Covad DSL wholesaler so that your customers experience a seamless migration of services through your new provider. StarNet will work diligently with Covad and the designated Covad DSL wholesaler to provide a smooth transition of circuits. All StarNet DSL Services not previously disconnected and not transferred by December 31, 2000 will be disconnected unless otherwise earlier terminated by Covad. All customers are responsible for DSL invoices for services rendered through December 1, 2000.
All existing DSL orders where access services have not been activated are cancelled. You should re-order those DSL services from your new DSL wholesaler. If you signed up for DSL services on or after December 1, 1999, StarNet will refund the $250 DSL set-up feepaid by you.
If you have no other MegaPOP related services, StarNet is willing to terminate your Wholesale Service Agreement upon your request. For those customers who applied DSL fees to StarNet's $500 per month minimum service fee, StarNet will waive the minimum service fee and charge for actual usage through the remaining year of your current contract period.
StarNet is sorry it can no longer provide DSL services to you. StarNet will, however, continue to provide you with other services with the utmost of quality.
