I have the DSL hardware here now and connected it today. The ATM CSU
seems to see data from the network OK which suggests the link is physically
at least up.
I haven't got it to talk to the router yet successfully but this is
probably due to the fact that I can't configure the V.35 port yet. The CSU
requires attachment to an RS-232 port to configure it and the connector is the
9-pin type but is a female connector whereas all the other equipment I had had
a male connector and thus I didn't have a correct gender cable or adapter and
it was too late to go and get one by the time I discovered this.
The ATM CSU is insanely complicated, at least it seems to me there are
way too many things to have to tweak but I'm working on digesting the manual
and hope to have it up and running soon.
