               The problem with the peering between Sprint and UUNET appears to be
          resolved.  There was apparently a BGP-4 route with a bad AS-AS attribute that
          was causing UUNET's routers and Ascend communications servers to crash and
          burn; and least that's what it SOUNDS like from the description read to me.  At
          any rate; it's back up and UUNET locations are reachable again.
