This one will most likely affect us; please note that 00:00 is eastern
standard time and so this could already be affecting us and may affect us over
          the next few hours.

The effect if we are impacted, will usually be short, it takes above five
minutes for the routers to boot and then a few more for the routes to
          propogate.

          EMERGENCY MAINTENANCE ANNOUNCEMENT

          Purpose for maintenance: Network fix

          Maintenance date: 06/25/1999

          Maintenance start time: 0000

          Estimated end time: 0430 EDT

Details of maintenance: We will be upgrading the IOS in several backbone
routers to alleviate a service-impacting Cisco bug. Maintainance will begin at
          midnight in each time zone.

Impact to customers: Customers may experience some downtime while the network
is reconverging as these backbone routers are taken offline and reloaded.

Please bear with us as we work to resolve this issue. We thank you for your
          patience and patronage.
