Eskinews NFS errors 10/18
I had been able to post test messages on the news server today, as well as watch many accesses show up in the log. However, many people had been receiving the following error throughout the day: NFS getattr failed for server eskinews.eskimo.com: RPC: Timed out Can't chdir to directory /usr/spool/news I shut down the news server, rebooted the machine (this is the "quick" method other than the more-than-an-hour method done after crashes), and posted another quick test message.
