Eskinews froze with a single kernel panic at about 7:30pm Pacific
time, requiring a powercycle (the only thing that would respond)
and the normal 30-60+ minute fsck disk scans. This went through
without errors to the login prompt, but a few minutes later it
froze again, this time with no error messages or warnings. Also,
it required a manual scan of the spool, which is being done now.

No eta at the moment (I'd say 45-60 minutes for the disk scan,
but I told people that after 7:30 as well), but we'll get it back
up as soon as possible. Sorry for the inconvenience.
