Telephone Switch Cutover V.34 dialup outage Feb 19, 2000

     On February 19, 2000, US West will be upgrading the Emerson switching
office from a 1AESS to a 5ESS switch. 

     The cutover will take place between 1am-3am and will cause an outage of
telephone service here that will last approximately 10 minutes.

     This will not affect 56k service, it will affect v.34 dialups, dedicated
PPP lines, and voice lines.

     During this interval all stable calls will be torn down and there will be
an approximately 10 minute long period during which it will not be possible to
call.
