Since SkyCache upgraded our satelite link last friday, innd keeps dying.
My guess is the machine simply can't keep up with the data rate and something
internal is overflowing.
I've messed with buffer sizes, etc, and not had any success at stablizing
it. I decided to try the CPU is too slow for network option in the kernel to
see if that would help.
Built a new kernel, rebooted, and it decided the file system that contains
the news spool wasn't clean, despite having been halted gracefully, and is now
running fsck on it.
We are still trying to get the new CPU that should resolve CPU issues
ready; however I am running into some difficulties.
We need the shadow libs on this box; they don't come with RedHat 6.1,
and the old package I had will not compile. If anybody knows where to pick
up a current copy of the shadow suite that would be helpful.
