Between 1am and 3am on February 19, 2000, US West is cutting a 1AESS
switch in Emerson to a 5ESS switch in that same office. This central office
services our voice lines here, dedicated PPP and UUCP lines, and FAX line.
Our (206) 367-3837 hunt group has already been cut into the new switch
in advance of the cut-over date.
When they perform this cutover, stable calls will be torn down and there
will be a period of approximately ten minutes (if everything goes right) where
no calls will go through.
This will not affect the Seattle 56k number as it is serviced out of a
different central office belonging to Electric Lightwave rather than US West.
It will affect the other v.34 access lines except Everett/Halls Lake.
