ImageMagick and X Applications
The other day I installed ImageMagick on eskimo on the recommendation of
one of our customers (we also have GIMP and many other tools, but he needed the
ability to create thumbnail indexes).
In the process of getting it to work, I discovered the permissions were
incorrect on the X library directories breaking all other X-applications.
I haven't received any recent complaints about other X-applications, but
if you were trying to use them and display on your machine and you were getting
an error about a missing library, that is why.
