Eskimo (the main shell server and the location of user
directories) crashed with a memory dump at about 9:20pm tonight,
and rebooted. This affected everything local: web pages and
domains point to the user directories which were down for a few
minutes; mail, shell access, news, and the like all use password
authentication, as do the local Western-WA dialups. 56k/ISDN
connectivity was affected in regard to the DNS servers but not
actual connectivity.
Everything's back up now.
