Eskinews, the news server crashed with an AIEEE killing interrupt handler
message. This is something that was a frequent problem in 2.0.x kernels but I
haven't seen in recent times for a long time. I guess they felt the bug was so
good it was re-introduced in 2.2.15.
At any rate, the machine is now doing file system checks, which take
several hours (about two hours if the first pass successfully resolves all
discrepencies, about twice as long if not).
The soonest the news server will likely be up and available will be around
2:30pm, and if there are inconsistancies that can't be resolved automatically,
it may not be available until around 4:30pm or 5pm time frame.
