This was right after an IOS upgrade of the Cisco routers, can't help but
wonder if it's coincidental or not.

At approximately 07:00AM on June 6, 2000, we experienced a network problem
today in the Eastern region of the US. As a result, Customer may have
experienced connectivity and/or latency problems.
We are working to fix the problem at this time. Currently, the estimated time
to repair is unknown. We will keep you updated on this issue as we get new
information. Please bear with us as we work to fix the problem. We thank you
