Sprintlink backbone outage 7/19 9:30pm
We began experiencing a problme on the Sprintlink backbone between it sites not connected via the UU.net backbone (I was able to connect to sites there like ftp.uu.net, but not to sites like ftp.digital.com, which is on the bbnplanet.net backbone or our own dialups, mostly on the nap.net backbone). I called this in to Springtlink and they verified it was something on their network and that technicians are working on it at this moment. As I typed this outages announcement and checked a few things, it looks like some things are beginning to come back up (a few extra hops on traces that it wasn't getting past before), but I'll keep an eye on it as well. No real ETA on a resolution at the moment. ~ Eric -- Eric T.
