               The network outage from approximately 12 midnight to 12:10 AM was caused
          by a denial of service attack that takes advantage of a packet fragment
          re-assembly bug in Cisco allowing the packets to get past access lists that
          exist on the router of our upstream provider (Sprint) that otherwise would have
          protected us from this attack.

               This bug in Cisco's code has been known since at least last November but
          still remains unfixed, despite opening tickets with Sprint and complaints to
          Cisco.
