The server problem earlier today relates to a bug that appears to exist
in Linux for the UltraSparc machine. Specifically the SCSI driver has some
bug where if a tape error exists, it does not recover occasionally.
There are some comments in the driver that are kind of scary, something
along the lines of this isn't really right but it works kind of...
This becomes a real problem everytime I write backups on this box.
