The Exabyte DN8500 drive we have on Ultra1 hung the SCSI bus, and this
time resulted in massive file system damage.
The damage was so severe that fsck couldn't run without core dumping.
I had to hand edit the file system to get it to the point where we could
run fsck. Right now there are 5000+ files in lost+found, we are working on
restoring files that are missing.
If you find some of your files missing please notify us and we will
attempt a tape restore.
We now have a second SCSI controller in the machine so that a tape drive
hanging shouldn't hang the bus the disks are on.
