          Authentication Failures

          At Approximately 9:30am users began calling and reporting authentication
          failures after several tests I began to attempt contact with UUNET
          administrators. I got through to them at 10:15 am and they informed me that
          all servers where down and that all related POP's are also down.
           They gave an ETR of 30 min however considering the scope of the outage I
          believe an hour to an hour and a half would be a more conservative
          estimate, considering that at the time we spoke their representative had no
          information about what may have precipitated this crash.
