Chris or one of his dogs kicked the switch on the power supply for the news spool drives and powered it down ungracefully. As a result, a file system check has to be run and this typically takes anywhere from 2-4 hours before the news server can be brought online. I've moved the drives to get the switch out of harms way to prevent a future interruption of this nature.
