The shell server stopped talking to the file server last night and had to be rebooted around 4:30AM PST this morning. I believe it stopped talking around 12:30AM. The first complaint I received mentioned a problem with mail which I was unable to reproduce. At 4:30 I received a complaint that was specific to shell and found it to be having problem.
