     We had a problem with the satelite news cache.  It stopped processing news
so that the only articles arriving where backfill articles via terrestrial
links.

     It did so in a manner that made it appear that it was still working,
all the usual lights were blinking, etc, but when I tried to telnet to the
stat port no response.  Rebooted, it appears to be functioning normally again.
