Denial of Service Attacks

     We got hit with a denial of service attack aimed at our webserver around
1am this morning, that took about ten minutes to resolve, and then one aimed at
our IRC server about 6:45am, again about ten minutes to resolve.

     The first attack only affected web service; the second was sufficiently
intense to cause congestion across our network affecting all of our services.
