The very best thing about eskimo is the outage mailing list.
Other ISPs seem to believe that the user/customer has no need,
or indeed no right, to know what is happening to the connection.

I enjoy and appreciate your long descriptions of serious problems.
I admire your ingenuity in solving system problems, and your
persistence when dealing with external problems like Sprint.

Bob --

I've been a customer for many years and I suspect I'll be one for many more.
Shit happens. I still think I fully get my money's worth from Eskimo.

I especially appreciate the level of information I get when something goes awry.

I was here for several years before the last crash, lived through that, and
will live through this one. It took you three weeks last time! This time you
were up the same day.

With all due respect to some of the respondees, we leave NO primary,
unbacked-up data on ANYONE else's server. We have redundant backups on our own
systems. So I can rebuild our web page(s) and ftp directories, we lost no
stored mail, and probably only lost incoming e-mail in process.

I will complain about Eskimo's performance when my companies go 9 years without
a major error!

Robert,

These things happen in complex systems. You certainly have my patience as I
have trouble keeping a 4 computer network online. I have been with you guys
for many years and the rough spots are few and far between. If I wanted to
spend the big bucks with one of the nationals I believe that I would still
have problems. The difference is that I would not have someone who would
tell me what the problem is/was nor give me any idea when we would be back
online.

Keep up the good work.

Richard Banghart.

no, thank YOU. we had a 3 month interruption in the email here but you
guys finally resolved it as an inadequate and unsettable timeout in old
outlook. your guy switched us to outlook express and got the timeouts set
up correctly and the problem went away. thanks.

Dear Mr. Dinse,

Thank you. I have never, ever, had such excellent service as I have
had with you. Nor have my friends. And, we have tried too many ISPs.

And again thank you, both for the way you personally do business and
for your most excellent ISP - ESKIMO!!!

Just letting you know, if you hadn't already figured it out, that you
have the best customer support. I hope more people find that out, too!

Robert,

We have had a vacation condo in Port Townsend for about 6 years or so.
Dial-up option L finally gave us a local number there that I've been able
to use the last two weekends. I can't tell you how nice it is to finally
have this capability up there. It works really well.

Thanks

Doug Brooks

BTW, dial plan L has rocked since I converted to it, if you're keeping score.
I couldn't be happier with my service with Eskimo for the past few months.

Robert,

I believe my conversion to this dial plan L is up-and-running now. Thank
you for the help in changing over from plan B.

It really does seem faster.

Sincerely,
Roger
