Having the time of my life!

[Geris' pic] My husband and I are retired. He won't go to Arizona and I can't sit still, so this was bound to happen. After the first year of retirement was spent with my nose in maps to track down all the cool yard sales, I ran out of places to display my trophies. As a little girl in Kirkland, WA I was either sewing outfits for myself, playing sports or trying to make my fortune as a berry picker or baby-sitter service owner/operator/manager/sitter.

While raising my family, I held down jobs in bookkeeping, accounting and office management and managed to look nice by sewing outfits that helped to quiet the creative storms that whirled within.

My husband put the kibosh on my grand idea of opening a produce stand on Airport Way, so I started with a little table of marmalade, jellies and children's clothes at the Saturday markets. This whole darn thing has now evolved into a full line of fabric purses and travel accessories. I now get to sew to my hearts content, take care of taxes, mail, show fees and all the business details and still get out of the house at show time to meet all my great customers and fellow crafters. What a deal!
