Ellen
Andersen

Growing up in northwest Seattle Ellen has a long time relationship with the maritime activities in and around the Puget Sound. She paints and sketches on location but often has to rely on quick drawings and her camera. "Working tugs, Ferries and fishing boats won't wait for my brush."

Her father, born in Seattle a few years after the great fire, instilled in her a love of birds and wildlife, and her mother encouraged drawing at an early age.

Ellen has taught oil painting and watercolor classes for the past fifteen years, is an associate member of the Northwest and American Watercolor Societies and a long time member of the Art Stall Gallery in the Pike Place Market. Her art work is in private and corporate collections throughout the world.
