LOCATED IN SEATTLE'S HISTORIC PIKE PLACE MARKET
97 Pike Street, Seattle WA. - (206) 623-7538
Hours: 10:00am-5:00pm

In the early 1960's, Seattle's Historic Pike Place Market was in grave danger of becoming just another "victim of progress." Badly in need of repairs, and being hungrily eyed by developers, the Market was slated for demolition. Many thought of the old Market as the very heart and soul of the city. A group of citizens, lead by Victor Steinbrueck, waged a successful battle to save the market and raise funds for it's preservation. Among those involved were several Seattle Art groups.

A dozen of those artists involved, decided to open a small gallery amid the produce farmers, fish markets and strange and wonderful shops. Thus, in 1965, began the story of the Art Stall Gallery.

Over the years, some of the faces have changed, but the dedication and passion the artists feel for the Market has not.

Behind the green and white striped awning of the tiny gallery you will find a broad selection of fine art by some of the areas most successful painters.

Click on each of the artists and take a brief electronic tour of the Art Stall, then, when you are in the area, stop by and see us in person.

The Art Stall Gallery is located just inside the entrance at 1st and Pike streets, right next to DeLaurenti's Italian specialty shop.
