Sally
Rawlings

Artist’s Statement:

I feel one of my roles in life is to share the scenes of beauty I see around me. When I’m with other people I often call out, "Look!" As a painter, I do the same thing, pointing out sights I have enjoyed.

I want to stop the viewer, draw him/her into my painting, to an awareness of what is right with the world. If the viewer’s mind can travel, to new places, or to places visited before, I have done my job right. If I can add to someone’s day an oasis of peace and repose, I am happy.
