Strawberry Shortcake - oil 20 x 16 inches
Cuddles - watercolor 12 x 10

While studying with Russian Impressionistic style artists Henry Stinson, Deanne Lemley and figurative artist Barbara Fugate, Nancy has developed a powerful artistic style with emphasis on dramatic color.

Through her fresh vision, she captures an ordinary moment in an unusual way.

Little Red Pot - oil 10 x 12 inches
Hat n' Boots

Artist's statement:"I have always been drawn to common household objects with a sense of time-worn character - a broken teacup, dinnerware from the 1940s, my grandmother's toaster. Local historical icons like the Hat N' Boots gas station of the 1950s fits right into this theme. Portraying these objects with a sense of cozy intimacy and an element of surprise is important to me. Additionally, eldercare is a topic of great concern to me, so my paintings also often address social and economic issues dealing with the elderly."
