What's Rebar?

Rebar is hot-rolled steel bar stock (there are exceptions). Rebar is used to reinforce concrete structures. "Rebar" is short for "reinforcing bar". Concrete resists compression (squishing) better than it resists tension (stretching). Rebar resists both compression, and tension better than concrete.
