Bob, Thank you!
The problem was the bridge rectifier.
The new one I purchased had hard chrome male spade
terminals, so it was a real easy fix.
I thought the (scamp),self contained amplifier moduals,
where way-cool! No pun intended being that thay are
intigrated with those big cooling fins.
Being in the constrution trades,I come across a lot of old junk, and seeing those cooling fins sticking out of
a pile of clutter and dust, clued me in that this was a peice of quality equiptment.
I even replaced the power LED with one of those super
bright saphire-blue LED,s it makes the unit look much
more current.
