Thanks for your feedback. I looked through the internet for Dibutyl phthalate. And I found it. But the sources I found wanted something like $10 for a half gallon. I'm sorry ... I didn't tell you I'm incredibly cheap. Some of the literature indicates that it is used in fixing polymers. No chance it will melt the shaft to the body of the pot is there? Another common application listed was for nail care. Do you suppose I might find it on the health & beauty shelf of a drug store?
