That's a weird one... Sometimes those japanese
slidepots don't like to be cleaned because the
goo that makes them feel good when you slide them
gets into the resistive slider part and causes them to go open in some spots. Try putting all
of the pots to center position and see if that
makes any difference at all... I don't suppose
there could have been a big static electricity
spark when you dusted, could there? A big enough
one of those and it might zap one of the IC's.
If no static electricity, then it certainly could be a bad electro-mechanical thing like a pot or
switch. Also, try pushing pushing pushing (the
switches) and sliding the pots a bunch and see if
anything happens. You might have to get into the unit and check signals if that doesn't do anything. I seem to remember that the bypass switch makes it so no power is even needed to
pass signal to the output.
I will have to post the schematic of this unit too
I guess. I should anyway.
